Story
Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and could be available for transport but transport fees are on top of the adoption fee.

Story
Two male Australian Shepherd puppies, born September 2nd, are ready for loving forever homes. Their mother is a Mini Aussie and their father is a Standard Aussie, both excellent guardian dogs on our small farm. The puppies have been raised outdoors with access to shelter and have been around livestock and our grandkids, giving them a great start with socialization, confidence, and affection. They are smart, alert, loyal, and already showing the classic Aussie temperament. These boys will do well in active homes or with families who understand the breed’s energy and need for training and companionship. Their father came to us as a rehomed dog, and this litter occurred before we were able to have him neutered. We are committed to finding responsible forever homes where they will continue to be loved, cared for, and part of the family. They can be rehomed together or separately $250 each or $400 together. I can also help with pet transportation services.

Story
Fidget is a one year old australian shepherd purchased from the breeder by teenagers who soon realized they could not afford a dog and did not have time for one. She is not on a rescue home with many other dogs and has a great time playing with them all day long. Loves the rain, the mud, the grass, games of fetch, wrestling, and just being a free spirit. She is crate trained, housetrained, and has great house manners. She would do best in an active home with a fenced yard! She loves everybody she needs, and all the dogs around her, often greeting them with licks to the face! Email Kristin at Irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application

Story
This is Miller, a blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix who will turn 4 on June 7th. He is an excellent house-trained dog who loves spending time outside and would truly thrive as a farm dog. He gets along well with other animals he has been around, mostly dogs and he even has a great bond with a pig! Miller loves playing with all kinds of toys, and he is pretty talented at tossing them in the air himself to catch. While he will do best with a fenced yard because of his love for the outdoors, it’s not absolutely necessary. Just be sure to keep him leashed when outside, as he has a habit of wandering off, though he always comes back home. If you have a large farm or property, he wont stray too far. His natural herding instincts make him a perfect fit for farm life!
