Story
Kenny is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to demand attention—he simply earns your heart by being quietly, wonderfully present. This stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, with his rich brown merle coat and soulful eyes, has a calm, steady spirit that feels like home from the moment you meet him. At 50 pounds, he’s the perfect size to be your constant companion—never far, always devoted.   After spending six long months waiting in a small New Mexico shelter, Kenny is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and embrace the love he’s always deserved. Despite a slight vision impairment, he moves through life with confidence and grace, never letting it slow him down. In fact, his resilience only makes him more remarkable.   Kenny is incredibly smart, beautifully mannered on a leash, and fully potty trained. He’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simplest things—resting quietly at your feet, leaning gently against you, or soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle with everyone he meets, wonderful with other dogs, and has a soft, kind nature that makes him truly special. Offer him a treat and he’ll happily sit… and if you’re lucky, he might even place his paw in your hand like a quiet promise of loyalty.   He would thrive in a peaceful home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the calm life he’s been waiting for. Kenny isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to love, to follow, and to quietly adore every single day.   If you’re ready for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion who will bring a sense of peace and devotion into your life, Kenny is waiting for you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give this beautiful soul the forever home he’s been dreaming of.   version 2There is something truly special about Kenny—the kind of presence that instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. This beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing 50 pounds and dressed in a striking brown merle coat, is the definition of gentle devotion.   Kenny’s past hasn’t been easy. He spent six long months in a small New Mexico shelter, quietly waiting and hoping for someone to see him. But what makes Kenny extraordinary is not where he’s been—it’s the love he still has to give. Despite a slight eyesight impairment, he navigates the world with quiet confidence, never missing a step when it comes to companionship.   He’s incredibly intelligent, fully house-trained, and walks like a dream on a leash. But what truly sets Kenny apart is his heart. His favorite place in the world is right beside you—whether that’s lying at your feet, resting his head nearby, or simply being your shadow. He doesn’t ask for much, just the comfort of knowing he belongs.   Kenny is wonderful with other dogs, kind with people of all ages, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect fit for a relaxed home. He’ll sit politely for treats and might gently offer you his paw, as if to say, “I’m yours.”   He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors, but more than anything, he’s looking for a person to love with his whole heart. Kenny is the kind of dog who will quietly, faithfully, and completely change your life.   If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will bring warmth, peace, and unconditional love into your home, Kenny is ready to meet you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let this incredible boy become your best friend.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 3, 2026, 12:45 pm

Story
Does your dog need a dog!?!? If so, Buddy could be the solution! He had a very rough beginning to life and is extremely shy but LOVES other dogs and needs a canine BFF. In a nutshelll, he was on a proprty with at least a dozen of his friends who were all shot and killed. He was hit in the leg and has fragments still in his leg but it doesn't slow him down but he will limp sometimes. It is not operable so he will be like that forever and will probably have some arthritis as he ages. He is about 4 years old now. If you're looking for a snuggly guy to curl up next to you on the couch, Buddy is not your boy. You won't be petting him or snuggling but he will sleep on the bed with you, stick close, and be your dog's best buddy ever! And as he slowly trusts you more and more he will get closer. He will take treats from your hand, let you boop him on the nose, and every time he gets closer your heart will warm a bit more! He is house trained, crate trained, doggie door trained and really low maintenance and amazing! He just needs his dog friend to play with, snuggle with, run with, etc. He MUST have a very secure fenced in yard since he is a flight risk and no human will be able to catch him easily if he were to escape. He is NOT available for transpoert so any adopter needs to be local to the Huntsville, AL area OR willing to drive here to meet and adopt him. Buddy is neutered, UTD on vaccines, HW negative, on monthly prevention and microchipped. If you are interested in learning more about this amazing pup, please submit an application at forrescue.net
