Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.JennyRose, an Australian shepherd, is available immediately for adoption, and you can bet we’re going to be especially picky where she goes. She is eight months old, housetrained, She has been living on a farm, was an indoor dog, and did well with the cats, dogs, and children. We are told she was too interested in the horses and wanted to chase them. Are you willing to invest in training with a positive reinforcement dog trainer, and help her learn what is appropriate? We look forward to getting to know JennyRose, and will take applications now. She will need vetting before she travels to a new home. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 26, 2024, 8:34 am

Story
This wonderful girl was part of a neglect case and was forcefully surrendered. She is such a sweetheart despite the hardship of her young life. She is friendly to everyone she meets and likes kidd. She does have the Aussie energy so will need an active family to keep her busy. She will also need all the basic general training as she was kept outside. We don't think she has ever been inside a house so it will be an adjustment for her, please be patient. She also spills her food as she was fed by having food thrown to her. She doesn't know what to do with a dog bed and is protective over any toy/treat she is given since she was never given these either. Any family will love the joy and smiles she brings as she is just happiness in a puppy body. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
IN New Kent VA - Hi, my name is Rowdy but everybody calls me Brody. I’m 2 years old, have all my shots and I can’t get anybody pregnant. I’m a happy go lucky kinda guy, love every new face I meet. My foster momma says she don’t understand how I’m the happiest dog she met since I’ve been through so much. I love people, kids, and other dogs. My foster mamma takes me to the dog-park and I just love to run and chase my foster brother when he fetches the ball. I like to chase the ball too, but I always forget to bring it back. I love my toys; I like to shake and chew them and go after them when thrown. Foster mamma says I’m such a good boy I haven’t chewed anything in the house. I also know how to sit and shake hands; you don’t even have to give me a treat. I aways go to mamma when she calls but I’m on a leash when not in the fenced yard. I do pretty good walking, nothing scares me. I sleep with my people but I have a lot of fur, so I usually end up on the floor as I get hot. I’m doing soo much better not going potty in the house, but Mamma says I get upset when I get left at home and have accidents, we are working on this. Mamma says I would be better with people that are home most of the day, I agree 100%. I would also like a fur sister or brother because I wanna play all day! I have 3 foster siblings and this cat that keeps smacking me, but I just love it. I love to go places in the car too. I get super-duper excited to go new places and meet new people and other dogs. I’m down for what-ever you want to do, I’m your man! Here is my application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application THere is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family. All adoption fees go to future rescue efforts.
