Ziggy is just the right size to curl up in your lap, be held in your arms, or travel along with you on visits and adventures. This sweet boy is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current on his shots—ready to start his new life with a lucky adopter. Ziggy is the kind of companion who will quickly become your best friend. His adoption fee is $450. Story
Ryder is the total package! This sweet and lovable Cairn terrier mix is the definition of a loyal companion. With a laid-back, easy-going nature, Ryder is happy to hang out with you on the couch or play fetch in the yard — especially if there are doggie snacks involved! Ryder was rescued at 8 weeks old from Hesperia Shelter, with a sibling who passed from parvo soon after they arrived. Ryder never developed parvo and has been healthy since that time. He gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, and his non-shedding coat makes him a great option for families who prefer less fur around the house. Ryder’s calm, affectionate, and loyal personality makes him an ideal addition to just about any home. He is microchipped, neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Ryder is currently being fostered in San Bernadino County, CA and must be picked up from there. For adoption information, please contact AlphaDogPetRescue@yahoo.com

Story
Billy Idol is a 1 year old and 7lb Westie mix who has had a very rough start. Sadly, this sweet boy has spent his entire life living outside in a dirty backyard. His mama was used for breeding, and when he and his sibling got too old to sell, they were discarded. When he arrived at Shelter Hope, Billy was completely covered in ticks and fleas. He had likely been living this way his whole life. It took three baths to get him fully clean, and now he is finally feeling comfortable, probably for the first time ever. Severely under-socialized and timid, Billy had only known life outdoors with his little doggie family. People, affection, and a normal dog routine were all completely unfamiliar and overwhelming for him. With time, patience, and baby steps, Shelter Hope is thrilled to share that Billy has made an incredible transformation over the past month. He has been growing more and more confident and trusting of people every day. His foster tells us he has recently had quite the breakthrough moment! He had initially been avoiding other dogs, but now he happily plays and frolics in the backyard with his foster doggie friends. Billy also enjoys relaxing in his bed with a toy or two and has gotten used to daily brushing, which doesn’t take long thanks to his petite size. He is a very quiet little guy and rarely barks. He especially loves squeaky toys and rolling around in the grass. Now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, Billy Idol is ready to discover what it feels like to be fully loved and cherished as a member of the family. With patience and gentle guidance, he will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into the dog he is meant to be! _________ Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Step 1) Application Step 2) Phone Interview Step 3) Appointment Shelter Hope is operating by appointment only. Be ready to adopt: If your application is selected, our rescue counselor will be in touch for a phone interview. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. More on our process: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt. The process can take several days. Thank you for your patience!
