Zeus is a playful 8 year old that loves to sit on your lap. He likes to go for a ride and will sit up in the seat beside you to watch everything. His owner passed away so he is kind of lost right now hoping that he finds a new home with caring loving people as soon as possible. Zeus was housebroken but could use a refresher course as his owner was very sick before passing away and was unable to take him outside for his potty breaks at times. A loving person that would put a lot of care into him would have a friend for life. He’s still learning that the world is a safe place, and right now he’s a reserved little guy who prefers quiet environments and predictable routines. Outside the home, he’s nervous and always scanning for danger, but with time and patience he’ll continue to build confidence. At home, Woodstock loves to sleep, cuddle, and stay close to his trusted humans. He enjoys treats, soft affection, and has recently started showing interest in toys — as long as they don’t squeak. He’s gentle, skittish, and sensitive to loud noises or overwhelming commotion, so a calm household will help him feel secure. He’s good with dogs and cats, and while he may not need another dog in the home, he does well around friendly, respectful companions. He’s crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is working on potty training. He’s a wonderful fit for seniors or anyone looking for a quiet, low&#226&#128&#145energy companion. Woodstock is an absolute sweetheart who just needs time, patience, and a safe place to grow. His foster has seen small glimpses of the fun, loving boy inside — little sparks of curiosity and comfort that appear as he slowly opens up. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
