Story
Yoohoo! Hey! Yes you, over here. I can tell that you are missing something in your life. Something like a new forever friend? Something just like me! My name is Layla but you can refer to me as the new Queen of the Castle…I mean, Queen of OUR home, of course. You are sure to find that I am quite the catch. I`m drop dead gorgeous and will certainly tell everyone who wants to listen about it. I`m not what you call a sit-in-the-lap cat, but I have been known to snuggle beside you on the bed. If you work from home, maybe set up a cat tower right beside the desk and a window, so I can assist you throughout the day. I still love to play, especially with feather wands, laser pointers and jingly balls - hopefully you have a stash of those for me at home! I bet you LOVE my loud voice telling you how much I adore you already. Let`s go! ~My adoption fee is $45.00.~Cats? Probably not. Dogs? I have done well with them in a previous home. Children? Tolerant. How did I get here? Adopted and returned twice through no fault of my own.

These cats are in Smithfield, North Carolina too!

Story
This petite girl is one of a kind. She was outside and unwell until she found a kind stranger to help her (DOB ~6/1/25). He got her well and brought her to JCAPL. He knew she would go to a loving furever home. Rosie has 4 foster brothers and keeps up with them, often starting the shenanigans (you can see a large dog claw in her resting photos). Nothing stops her from romping and playing. She also races them to food and digs right in. The dogs in the house don't scare her in the least. She just lets them be dogs. And she doesn't forget her humans. When she's ready to snuggle, she'll jump on your lap, make some biscuits, and then nap with you. She also sits and watches TV. Some nights she'll sleep right next to you. Watch your heart, because she will steal it in an instant. She's a little girl with a huge spirit. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Kevin is the curious kitty! What's in the fridge mom? Can I eat that? Mmmm I like that, I don't want to share it, noooo, ohhh ok if I must. What's this toy? Let's play with it. The way to make friends with Kevin is with a string toy and some cottage cheese! Kevin loves to play with other kittens and cats. He also likes to play with toy balls and mice. He cuddles with his brother and other foster kittens--he's definitely a great buddy for a cat that needs a bestie. He's litter trained; and we estimate born about 4/26/25. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
This orange and white bundle of fun isn't sure he's all cat. He loves hanging with the dogs and tries to groom them. He also tried to go on walks with them till his foster mom explained he is inside only. The outside world isn't safe for this little cutie pie. Archie is very playful and has lots of playmates in his foster home. Archie will tear through the house chasing his foster kitties or chasing a ball. After he gets all his playing done, he loves his humans. he waits right outside the shower door when His foster mom takes a shower so he can get some love. He doesn't even get upset if some water rains down on him. This little guy was born to be someone's best buddy. You will love what great company he is! ***PLEASE NOTE*** Are you interested in adopting this cat or another JCAPL pet you have seen?
