Story
We bought Riley 3 years ago in Kansas. Our biggest issues with her is she’s mean towards anyone but my wife. She (wife) mainly does all the feeding and letting her out to go to the bathroom. She’s also not friendly to our much smaller French Bulldog. I have 3 kids and it’s just not worth the hassle. I would STRONGLY recommend 1 or 2 adults only. No other kids or pets. Riley does have a soft side. She loves to play. Fetching and pulling on toys are her favorite. She also loves going for a walk.

Story
Nova is small but spunky.    Her vision is not the greatest (chronic dry eye requiring daily meds), but that does not slow her down.  She is potty-trained and is good at letting you know when she needs to go out by going to the door and/or barking next to it.   She is pretty good on a leash but will stray a bit if something catches her attention like a dog or a car (since she thinks she should be riding in all of them).  Nova Lee loves playing with a tennis ball and likes to chew on a bone.  For the most part she has been good with know what are her toys and what aren't, but I still keep an eye on her.    For the majority of the day she is kept in the guest room and has not made a single mess.  There is a grass pee pad in there, but I don't think she uses it.  Generally, she is happy napping on her bed, but really wants to be with you on the couch to get butt scratches.   ##2592448##

Story
Biggie is a handsome fella who had one heck of a rough start to life.  He was surrendered to a partner shelter due to landlord issues.  Even entering the building then was hard for him--the slip leash going over his head was terrifying and doorways posed a challenge.  Over the next couple of days, he remained extremely guarded with physical touch and new items like microchip scanners entering his space.  With time, he began to settle in with the staff and volunteers, leaning into them for love when out of his kennel.  Unfortunately, a hectic shelter was not a place where he could succeed.  We were contacted as he began bar biting, painting his kennel, body slamming his door and showing more fear when in his kennel. Biggie was extremely shy/reticent when he was transported in to our foster--he slept in the car but required patience and lots of treats when trying to move from vehicle to vehicle, extremely unsure of the situation.  He allowed us to get a BullHug on him, again with lots of patience, and headed to his foster home.  Within a few hours, after a quick bath outside, Biggie's puppy side came out--he couldn't get enough of zooming around the yard and playing with the water! Biggie had been reported to be ok with dogs his size and larger but has shown reactivity to a neighboring lab and with a golden.  At this time, we believe Biggie would be best as an only dog, ready to receive all of your TLC as he comes to know and trust you. Biggie has done well with school-aged and older children but has not been exposed to cats or younger kids.  He's a full-sized guy with lots of energy so smaller kids may be inadvertently toppled over in his excitement. Biggie, like many bulldogs and squishfaces, has demonstrated some fall allergies and is currently on Apoquel and the normal bulldog skin care routine to keep his paws, ears, and facial folds in tip top shape! ##2566390##

Story
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS BULLDOG OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE.  HOW IS HE STILL AVAILABLE?!?He's PERFECT IS IT BECAUSE HES BIG? IS IT BECAUSE HE'S NOT A PUP?  Cletus Located in the Sidney NE area Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog fusion 5-7 Years old Dog Friendly  Cat friendliness unknown, he's lunged at one but then also didn't care about others ‍ Does fine with kids BUT he's a bull in a china shop and will knock small kids over so children 10 and over WITH DOG MANNERS only House trained Rings bells on the door to go out Knows commands however if he will do them without being bribed by food is questionable Will crate however he isn't the biggest fan, if you plan to crate him there better be a bed in there that feels like a freaking cloudand a giant hug combined Will mosey to visit other humans if given the chance so a secure fence is a must Can NOT handle EXTREME TEMPS Must be allowed on the couch and in your bed or have a bed as inviting as yours  Loves to sunbathe but doesn't realize when it's too hot, so a dog door won't work and you will need to call him back in.   CANNOT use any training methods besides positive reinforcement, this isn't up for debate, he is way too passive a dog for us to allow him to be trained with ANY adverse methods. If you plan to put a "shock collar/Ecollar/Training collar on this dog move along  Needs high quality food and multiple supplements to maintain his heath and thrive in life needs his wrinkles cleaned daily  The happiest of goobers Not an outdoor activity dog  Fully vetted 90+lbs  Did you watch Tommy Boy and laugh hysterically? Do you think that “Saturday Night Live” in the early to mid 90’s was the best? Do you need someone to make you laugh and smile all day? Would you love a companion who’s world revolves around you? How about a gentleman that is so in tune with your emotions he knows exactly when you need it, a laugh or a giant hug? If you answered “yes” to the questions above, then guess what WE HAVE THE DOG FOR YOU!! He is an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog named Cletus.    For whatever reason we cannot figure out we have had Cletus for 4 over years, no idea how or why because he is the best dog ever. Cletus also would love more attention and lap/couch cuddles than he gets in his foster with all their dogs. Cletus is literally Chris Farley in a dog. He is the happiest and sweetest soul, just a true goober to the core. Cletus’s foster is home a majority of the day BUT HE doesn’t suffer separation anxiety or hasn’t in the 4+ years he’s been with his foster. Cletus will crate but doesn’t like it, he’s not destructive so a crate really isn’t necessary, if he has to go in one is must be very large with a bed like a snuggly cupcake. He would prefer a home with other dogs who like other dogs on the rare occasion he wants to play. He is a GIANT dog, about 120lbs. We believe he is an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog mix.  He is house trained and rings the bell on the door to go out, if you don’t listen, he will come over, a maximum of 6” away from you and stare at you until you move and let him out. He is an incredibly passive dog, he will correct another dog gently or low growl in certain particular situations, Cletus is a dog who “uses his words.” In fact in 4+ years and meeting over 75+ dogs, the only dog he has only had one angsty interaction and that was the fault of the other dog.     Cletus makes no apologies for who he is, he is an all or nothing dog. “All” for Cletus includes  sleeping in your bed, taking up residence on the couch or lounge chair, and every now and then sitting in your lap or close to it. Cletus loves to cuddle with other dogs but doesn’t like other dogs to cuddle him without his permission, it annoys him, I know it sounds weird, but it’s literally his only hang up. He will just low growl and if the unwelcome, space invading, cuddle monster doesn’t heed his warning, he will just get up, in a loud dramatic huff, move to another spot and glare at you because obviously this is your fault.    Cletus loves dogs, all shapes and sizes, I have photos of him snuggling with a chihuahua (4lbs), a few 75lbs bully mixes to a  (125lbs) Saint Bernard. When he moves homes, (which will only be happening 1 time), he may be a touch overwhelmed. We suggest that while he gets to know and trust you/his new owners and his new environment, that you go slow with dog introductions to avoid overwhelming him more. He has been with his foster for years so he is going to take some patience.    Please remember that  he is a giant BRACHYCEPHALIC dog, he CANNOT do extreme temperatures hot or cold however he doesn't know that. He does like to sunbathe for short periods of time outside when it’s warm but it’s your job to make sure he comes in and that he doesn’t get sunburned. He will also tolerate going outside to potty in the winter, (however the cold isn't his favorite). This is not a great dog for camping unless it’s closer to “glamping.” Cletus is not a dog meant for hikes or even for an active home, he couldn’t keep up and he deserves more than a home where he is alone while you’re out frolicking up a mountain or spending a hot day at a lake with no AC. We would like him to stay in western NE/CO/WY area as there is so much less humidity and it makes it so much easier for him to breathe. He will also need a high quality food and multiple supplements to remain thriving and in good health. He is a bulldog and thus a higher maintenance breed. He will need Omega 3,6,9 fish oil. He will need joint supplements beyond just glucosamine chondroitin. Currently he takes several supplements and we would strongly prefer he stays on the same or very similar supplements.   In 2024 Cletus got a cold that he could t seem to get rid of. Finally he was able to get rid of it but during the multiple vet visits it was discovered that he had developed the early stages of megaesophagus. Currently he eats from a raised bowl and he is always fed with water combined with his food. He has no other symptoms. This doesn't mean as he gets older that he won't develop more symptoms so that is something that you need to prepare for. We do believe that part of the reason it took him longer to get rid of his URI was in part due to this condition. This is another reason why it is so important for him to stay on his supplements.  We thought this lug would have had his own  perfect home years ago. Yet he is still here and we believe it's due to his size. It certainly isn't due to his personality because he is the most charasmatic delicious mega sized muffin alive. We are still hoping, even after 4+ years that his PERFECT HOME is out there somewhere. Until his perfect home is found he is spoiled and EPICALLY ADORED in his "foster home!" This dog is such a prize. He will NOT be leaving to any home that we don’t think is deserving of him. He deserves the most AMAZING home on the planet and we’ll be damned if we let him out of our care for anything less.    If you think Cletus would be a fantastic fit for your home, your family, your lifestyle and you know you can afford the financial commitment to Cletus’s high quality and higher cost existence please reach out!!!    We cannot wait to meet his new family and are looking very forward to Cletus’s next chapter in his life story. Further all our brachycephalic dogs MUST vet at an AAHA certified vet, this is because of their extreme vet needs. Brachycephalic dogs are extremely expensive dogs to upkeep so please bare that in mind when applying and make sure you're in a financial place to take it on. $400.00 Adoption Fee (Which is considered a non refundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. The fee itself is not negotiable, our vets don't negotiate and thus neither do we.)  WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY ALL OUR DOGS ARE LOCATED IN FOSTER HOMES. This means there is no place for you to go in person to view our dogs. We ask that an application be filled out and we will go from there! ##862013##

Story
Norah is the sweetest pup! Her demeanor and personality are that of a playful, happy go lucky dog. She loves car rides, playing with her people and all the attention. She has a cute way of pawing at you when she wants your eyes on her or just simply pets. She is super easy as far as listening and obeying goes. She responds to kennel up, stop, no, sit, shake and lay down (especially for treats! and she loves Dentasticks!). She sleep and snores through the day and requires a couple stints of play time through the day, twice for 20 minutes or so, especially in the evening. She is ready for bed by 9pm and will snore the night away! She is a great addition to any household as she loves everyone, as long as they give her plenty of attention! She is a loving, snuggly, all around perfect pet! ##2161123##
