Before he came to us, he was hit by a truck and broke his leg, it was very RUFF but our outstanding Vet Team worked very hard to fix his leg, and now he is ready to rev his engine and go. He is still recovering but getting back to his old self more and more everyday! Meet Leonidas!  What this handsome boy lacks in height he makes up for in personality. Leonidas is a sweet little guy, he's the most loveable bulldog mix. He came to us as a stray in mid August, but he has been friendly and loving from the start. He has the biggest personality, he loves to run around and play the day away. If he were a person, he would be an athlete for sure. Energetics aside, he is a total ham! Mr. Leo is one of the biggest lovers on the planet, he loves nothing more than getting good scratches all around his cheeks and under his chin. Belly rubs are his favorite past-time, and he would make a killer movie-night partner. Leo has gone through lots of training here with us too, he knows the 'sit' command like the back of his paw, and will also walk well on a leash for a confident handler. Unfortunately, on 08/30/2021, Leo was diagnosed with heartworms.This poor guy went through almost a year of treatments, but we are happy to announce that he is now heartworm negative and ready to find his forever home! Leonidas is also required to be the only other animal in the home since he does not get along with other animals, however he loves children! Leo is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. Meet Mushi! Hey everybody, my name is Mushi! I'm so excited to meet you! Well, I'm excited to meet everybody. I'm an American Bulldog mix, and I was born right about 03/01/2022. My friends here at the shelter like to call me all kinds of goofy nicknames, like Mushy, Mushster, Mushmallow, and Mushiboy. I don't mind any of them, because that means I'm getting attention! Attention is one of my favorite things, after all. I do have lots of favorite things, though. Treats are my favorite, people are my favorite, toys are my favorite, running is my favorite, playing is my favorite... I could go on and on! I'm told my squishy cheeks and happy smile are irresistable, so only come meet me if you're prepared to fall in love! I really like other dogs, too, but I definitely have fun being the dog in charge. If you already have any other dogs, make sure you bring them to meet me so I can decide if they can hang with me. I think kids are great, but I really don't like being hugged or held, so only kids that understand my boundaries, please.  Mushi is fully vetted, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $175. She came into rescue when her owner passed away.  She took a few days to settle but once she did… watch out.  . She’s silly and playful and will sing all the songs when we wake up.  .  She chases and loves to chase.  Let’s get this girl a home  She deserves it.. and so much more  The sweetest girl is still looking for her forever . She doesn’t need a kennel. Loves to go for walks. Treats are her favorite . She does well with dogs that give her space, big or small. Chloe loves the sunny weather. Her favorite sleeping spot is the back of the couch on a squishy blanket. Chloe is a 6-8 year old mixed breed dog. She’s about 50 lbs with squatty legs. Chloe is mostly a couch potato . When she gets the zoomies… watch out. . She tends to run over anything in her way. Chloe is up to date and spayed. She does have some allergies. She takes daily medication to help. She’s a white dog who loves to roll in the grass … it’s really cute when she does it.No kennel needed. She REALLY is not a fan of them. Chloe has some hip issues so no long walks or hiking needed. . She’s taking some preventatives to help  Her forever home would be best with older kids, smaller calmer dogs ok, no idea on cats?!? Give her a bone to chew and she’s happy!!More things I’ve learned about Chloe….  She doesn’t need a kennel… she needs bones to chew on and she’s so content all day while I’m working... She HATES storms and thunder and lightening…. She curled up next to me over night while the crazy rolled through... She loves chasing balls… but never really gets them... She is learning about routines and is eating so much better! She has a favorite soft and squishy blanket... She loves to nap on the back of the couch like a cat … a large playful cat... She loves to be outside but really loves to inside. Lays in front of the fan... She snores… not does she snoreShe would be perfect for a family that doesn’t need a crazy active dog. She has some hip issues that cause her to limp a bit. When she runs around, she gets sore (ps… so do I.. us older gals). Another dog would be good for her… she plays and uses her voice quite a bit.
