This approximately 4-year-old bully mix has been through more than her fair share, coming to us after being confiscated from a home with many other dogs where she was clearly bred repeatedly. Her past shows in her body—her nipples hang low from raising litter after litter—but her spirit? Completely unshaken. Ruby is happy, goofy, and full of life. She greets each day (and every person she meets) with a wagging tail and an infectious joy that’s impossible to ignore. Despite everything she’s been through, she chooses to be soft, silly, and loving—and that says everything about who she is. She has previously done well with other dogs and cats, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet home. Ruby hasn’t been formally kid-tested, but due to her playful, sometimes mouthy nature when she gets excited, she would likely do best with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and help guide her with gentle boundaries. At her core, Ruby is a sweet, affectionate girl who just wants to be loved for who she is—not for what she can provide. She’s ready to leave her past behind and finally be someone’s cherished companion. Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400. Greg is living in a foster home in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Greg was originally adopted over a year ago but his adopters returned him recently. Greg is living in a foster home with 4 other dogs and is doing great! Greg loves his people and does well with the dogs in his foster home. He struggles initially with visitors, but with slow introductions and a family that is consistent with the boundaries bulldogs need, he adjusts fine. He’s a lovable lump, and just becomes a bossy bouncer to those he’s not sure should be admitted into his house. Greg has experienced IVDD as many frenchies do, so a home that has one level would help Greg keep his back safe. He can live with other dogs who won’t play rough with him or challenge him to do more than his potato body should. My name is Rocko and I joined the Paddy’s Paws family as a local surrender. I am most definitely a bulldog with my squatty body and bulldog antics! To know them is to love them, and as bulldog owners know, they have a personality all their own and need guidance, structure, and tolerance for gas ;) My foster family also found out I have Idiopathic Epilepsy. This isn’t uncommon in my breed and is managed by medication. Unfortunately, I endured seizures for over a year unmedicated and suffered severe heat stroke. This makes me a quirky bugger, who needs a special home. I have now been seizure free for over 3 months. I am doing great with my routine in my foster home, and am the best boy for sleeping through the night! I absolutely love going for walks and eating is the only thing that tops that! I rarely bark, unless there is a newbie in the home and I need to check their credentials before allowing them to enter my castle. If they bring cheese or a treat, they will pass security clearance. A quiet home where I can hang on the couch, chill in the backyard, and live a life of leisure would be lovely. Other dogs are fine as long as they aren’t going to engage me in play as I don’t care for that. Lazy is my love language when it comes to canines. I think I would adults only as my best match! I love to play ball (okay, I just like to chase the ball) and would love a family who likes to be outside (but understand I’m not good in the heat)!
