Story
Rusty came to us from rural North Carolina where he was found stray. He's a nice hound who makes friends easily. Rusty has a sweet disposition and was apparently someone's pet. He's housebroken, does well in a crate and knows some commands like 'sit' and 'paw'. He loves to play with his toys and enjoys attention from new people. Rusty can be an escape artist and will need secure leashing and a secure fenced yard. He has plenty of energy and enjoys his outings Vets have estimated Rusty's age between 2 and 6 and he weighs about 55 lbs. Rusty has arrived and is available for visits in the Boston area. Story
Trudy is a beautiful redtick coonhound who was rescued several months ago from life on a chain in West Virginia. Trudy is very friendly and engaging with people and enjoys cuddling on the couch. She was not a fan of the snow and ice when she first arrived here, but we know she'll acclimate as she settles into a home in New England At her first stop in New England, fosters reported that she did well doing her business outside after an initial accident, as can be expected. She has a strong hound nose and bays when she catches a scent outside, but has been pretty quiet inside. Trudy would do best in a home as any only dog, or with a canine companion who is more submissive. She had no issues with the other 3 dogs she was rescued with, and she did well with other dogs at boarding down south, so we believe she would acclimate well in a pack environment. We encourage meet & greets for potential adopters. Trudy is 4 - 5 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below.
