Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Story
This handsome, yet small version of a Golden Retriever, is called Luca.  He is said to be a 14 month old, 27 pound boy that was recently found as a stray and put in a shelter in KY.   The shelters there are full and euthanizing daily.  Luckily Luca was pulled from that shelter and is now on his way to Critter Cavalry Rescue.  This boy was temporarily in a home with cats and other dogs and is just wonderful with all of them.   A welcoming soul, Luca is fully vetted and ready for that perfect family to adopt him and live happily ever after.  We are getting to know him and his house manners.  So far he seems to be almost totally housebroken and he is crate trained.   As you can see, he likes car rides and could be a great on the road traveler with any family or person.  What a wonderful and perfect size for this boy to be!  We are looking for a special family and lots of fun activities for his youthful spirit.  He is young and needs a active humans to give him a great life filled with hikes, walks, maybe even occasional jogs to keep his physical being in check and happy.  We love his golden eyes that match his soft, golden fur.  He is currently in Nashville, TN in a foster home and we transport northward with out adopted dogs and have designated stops.  He is ready just in time to celebrate a special Memorial Day Weekend coming up!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue and ask for an adoption form at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 15, 2025, 6:39 pm

We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
