MY RESCUE STORY
My story began at a dog breeding facility and slaughterhouse in Cheonan, South Korea, where I was rescued from a future no puppy should ever have to face.
Instead of growing up in a loving home, I spent my early life in an environment where dogs weren't given the care and security they deserved.
Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and gave me a second chance.
Since then, I've been discovering that the world can be a much kinder place. There are people who offer delicious treats, gentle hands that mean no harm, and other dogs who simply want to play.
One of my closest companions is George, who is believed to be my sibling. We love spending time together, and having him around has been a wonderful part of my journey.
Despite my difficult beginning, I've grown into a cheerful, gentle, and playful boy with so much potential.
I'm still learning what it means to trust, but every day brings me a little closer to the happy life I've always deserved.

MY PERSONALITY
Hi, I'm Austin!
I'm a handsome, cheerful boy with a beautiful white coat covered in adorable brown spots, big floppy ears, and a wonderfully playful personality.
My rescuers say I have the charming looks of an English Setter, with a sleek build and expressive face that make me especially handsome.
I'm a little more outgoing and energetic than my friend George. While he's the rounder, more laid-back-looking one, I'm the slightly more athletic boy who brings a little extra excitement to our adventures.
I absolutely love spending time with other dogs, and George and I are often found playing or hanging out together.
When it comes to people, I'm still learning to feel completely comfortable with affection.
I can be a little shy when we first meet, and sometimes I'm not quite sure what to do when someone reaches out to pet me.
But there's a pretty easy way to win me over: treats!
I love food, and a few tasty snacks can help me warm up surprisingly quickly. Once I feel safe, I'm happy to approach you and enjoy some gentle affection.
Underneath my initial shyness, I'm an incredibly sweet, good-natured boy who just needs a little patience to show his full personality.
And while I'm still learning to enjoy human affection, I already have wonderful manners when it comes to being handled.
My rescuers can trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, groom me, and even trim the fur around my paw pads without much fuss.
I'm a gentle boy with a playful spirit, a kind heart, and so much love still waiting to come out.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I can be slightly shy when meeting new people, especially when it comes to physical affection. However, I'm very food motivated and usually warm up quickly with treats and patient interactions. Once I'm comfortable, I allow gentle handling and can be picked up with proper support. I'm still learning that human touch can be something enjoyable, so I appreciate people who let me approach at my own pace.
· With Children: I haven't had experience with children under 13 yet, so my behavior around younger kids is still unknown. Gentle, supervised introductions would be important.
· With Dogs: I'm very friendly and social with other dogs. I happily approach both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play. Even when another dog becomes pushy or confrontational, I generally prefer to move away rather than engage. I especially enjoy spending time with George, who is believed to be my sibling.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats hasn't been observed yet, so we don't know how I would behave living with one. Because Setter-type dogs can have strong hunting instincts, careful introductions and appropriate management would be especially important.
MY ENERGY LEVEL
I currently have a moderate energy level, with a cheerful and playful personality.
I love spending time outdoors, exploring, and playing with other dogs. Once I've had enough activity, I'm generally able to settle down and relax.
I'm also a little more lively and outgoing than George, so I enjoy having opportunities to run, play, and discover new things.
Since I'm still only ten months old, my energy level and exercise needs may continue to develop as I mature.
It's also important to remember that English Setters and Brittany Spaniels are sporting breeds originally developed for active outdoor work.
Because of my breed background, I may need more physical exercise and mental enrichment as I grow, even though I'm currently fairly moderate in energy.
I'd love a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and is excited to include me in their adventures.
MY WALKING SKILLS
I'm currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash.
I sometimes pull because there are so many interesting things to explore, but overall, I follow my person well.
I'm still young and learning, so continued practice, positive reinforcement, and patience will help me develop better leash manners.
As a Setter mix, I may also develop a strong interest in birds, squirrels, or other small animals. My prey drive hasn't been fully evaluated yet, so my future family should be prepared to manage that possibility.
For my safety, I'll need to remain securely leashed in unfenced areas while my recall and outdoor behavior continue to develop.
With consistent training and plenty of opportunities to explore safely, I'm sure we'll have some wonderful adventures together!
MY HOME LIFE & MANNERS
Even though I'm still young and adjusting to life after rescue, I already have some wonderful qualities.
I'm generally calm when placed in a kennel and show no food guarding toward people or other dogs.
I may bark when I want something, so my future family should be prepared to help me learn appropriate ways to communicate.
One of my best qualities is how cooperative I am during grooming and handling.
Even though I'm still getting used to human affection, I patiently allow my caregivers to trim my nails, brush my coat, clean my ears, and groom my paws.
That's a wonderful foundation for a young dog who will need regular grooming throughout his life.
Because I haven't yet experienced every aspect of living in a traditional family home, I'll need guidance as I learn household routines, boundaries, and expectations.
My potty habits in a home environment haven't been fully documented, so my future family should be prepared to establish a consistent routine.
With patience and positive reinforcement, I have so much potential to become a wonderful family companion.
WHAT I'M STILL LEARNING
I'm considered a Level 2 Rescue Dog, which means I may need a little extra time, patience, and guidance as I adjust to unfamiliar people and environments.
I'm naturally gentle and friendly, but I'm still building confidence and learning to feel comfortable with human affection.
Sometimes I hesitate when someone first reaches out to pet me, even though I'm happy to accept treats and spend time nearby.
The best way to help me is to let me approach at my own pace, reward my curiosity, and show me that gentle interactions can be positive experiences.
I'll also need continued training as I adjust to family life, including leash manners, household routines, and learning how to settle in new environments.
Because of my English Setter and Brittany Spaniel background, my future family should also be prepared for possible breed-related behaviors such as vocalization, high activity needs, and prey drive.
These behaviors haven't all been observed in me, but they're important possibilities to understand as I grow.
I'm a wonderful young dog with a gentle heart, and the right guidance will help me become the confident companion I'm meant to be.
MY IDEAL HOME
I'd love a family who understands that I'm still learning about the world and is excited to help me grow.
I'm friendly, playful, and social, but I can be a little cautious when it comes to unfamiliar people and physical affection.
A patient family who uses positive reinforcement and allows me to build trust at my own pace would be wonderful.
Because I enjoy other dogs so much, I could potentially thrive in a home with a friendly, compatible canine companion.
My friend George has been an important part of my life, and I really enjoy having another dog to play with and spend time beside.
I'd especially benefit from a family who has experience with English Setters, Brittany Spaniels, or other active sporting breeds.
Although I'm currently moderate in energy, these breeds are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and strong natural instincts.
My future family should be ready to provide regular exercise, mental enrichment, continued training, and safe opportunities to explore.
I'd also appreciate people who understand that adjusting to a home after rescue takes time. I may need help learning new routines and building confidence in unfamiliar situations.
Most importantly, I want a family who will love me for who I am today while helping me become the best version of myself.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE ME
Maybe it'll be my beautiful white coat and adorable brown spots that catch your attention first.
Or perhaps my big floppy ears, handsome face, and athletic build will make you smile.
But spend a little time with me, and you'll discover that there's so much more to love.
I'm a cheerful, gentle, and playful boy who loves making canine friends and exploring the world around me.
I might be a little shy when you first reach out to pet me, but give me a few treats and some patience, and you'll start to see my sweet personality shine through.
My rescuers say I'm an incredibly good-natured boy.
Even though I'm still getting used to affection, I patiently cooperate with grooming and handling, get along beautifully with other dogs, and have a playful spirit that makes me a joy to be around.
I especially love spending time with George. We may look a little different and have our own personalities, but we've shared an important part of our journey together.
I was rescued from a place where my future was uncertain.
Now, at just ten months old, I have my whole life ahead of me.
There are so many things I haven't experienced yet.
My first real home. My own comfortable bed. Long walks with someone I love. A family who looks forward to seeing me every morning.
I may still be learning how to trust the world, but I have so much love and happiness waiting to be shared.
I was given a second chance at life. Now I'm looking for someone who will help me turn that chance into a lifetime of adventures, friendship, and love.
