Meet Aspen! Aspen is about 1 year old, 37 lbs, and he is a mutt! He was found as a stray. In his foster home, he is working on his house-training, crate-training and does well with leash-walking. He could go to a home with kids, dogs. Cats are unknown. No apartments, please!His foster says, "This is one of the most delightful, sweet pups, you will ever meet! Just happy, happy, happy all the time! Loves to play with other dogs, loves to be petted by his humans and when you pet this dog, he has the softest fur you've ever felt! It's so adorable to see that sweet face staring at you when you're trying to tell him something he's trying so hard to understand. What a fun and sweet, looking dog with a personality to match. My name is Uncle Joe and I am in search of a special family or person or couple that loves my breed line which is, English Setter.  I am 4 1/2 years old and my owner released me and my look alike brother to a vet who kindly allowed us to stay at her clinic for a while and to avoid the terrible shelter in our town.  We were not neutered nor updated on shots and heartworm.  We are now!   I am 55 pounds and I do NOT have to be adopted with my brother, Mr. Moe.  We are both independent boys that love people and are told that are very handsome and rare to find in the rescue world.  I have a fair amount of energy and it would benefit me to be adopted by someone with lots of desire and ability to be outside to exercise with me.  I would love a fenced yard too.  I think kids would be fun to hang out with and I am good with other dogs if introduced slowly and they don’t jump around in my face.  I am a sweet and intelligent dog that is looking for someone to really give me some one on one time and a chance to be taught some great manners.  I can learn quickly and I certainly will return to you every ounce of love and devotion that I have in my heart and soul.  I am ready NOW…. please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and tell them where you live and that you are interested in making me a part of your life!      Adoption donation $799      Age: 4 months of 5/24/2024        weight 13 lbs        John Boy is a sweet, adorable puppy who is all wiggles and kisses, he is a darling quiet boy, very mellow for his ages. John Boy’s mother is a rat terrier of about 27 pounds and we believe dad is a small golden receiver/white lab.      John Boy’s mom showed up as a stray to a home in rural Mississippi house and gave birth a couple of days later. Wags took in the family of eight, taking care of them, giving the puppies their shots, and is now helping them find loving homes.       John Boy spent his early months with his mom and siblings, romping and playing and snuggling into a big puppy pile to nap. John boy loves to play with the other dogs in the home and ignores  the cat. He rides well in the car and is loving and a cuddle bug.  He is housebroken as long as he goes out regularly but may need additional guidance when he adjusts to a new home.     John Boy arrived in the northeast on Saturday, April 20 and settled in quickly in his new foster home, he will be neutered in the northeast when he is older, his neuter is included in his adoption fee at one of the clinics Wags uses or the rescue will reimburse adopters what we pay if you choose to use your own vet.   Wags is a struggling 501 C3 in rural Mississippi where one woman cares for 150 stray and abandoned dogs, many of whom are older or have medical issue and  require expensive vet care.
