Story
"Tag, you're it." It is funny how one simple sentence can mean so many different things. For example, it can mean that Tag is the bee's knees from his gorgeous markings to his too-cute-for-words underbite. It can mean that he is the bomb diggity(Oh yeah, I went there) with his personality. Sweet, loving, and happy to befriend anyone he meets...be it a dog, those sacks of meows, new people, or even a dang butterfly! It can also mean, that YOU are it and this is your sign to adopt Tag. Tag is a 6-month-old, 48lb male English Shepherd mix that honestly...I think is probably one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen...and that is saying a lot. When you look at this guy though, your heart just melts. From his amazing facial markings that are different shades of brown, to his gorgeous eyes that have better eyeliner and mascara on them than most girls I know, to his freaking underbite...guys that underbite is killer. How do you not fall in love with this dog when he plops himself right in front of you and stares at you with that smile?! Not to mention when he looks up at you with those big ole eyes and gives you a little head tilt...like he has no idea just how freaking adorable he is and is wondering why you are staring at him all lovey-dovey. Tag isn't just a pretty face though, no....this pup has one of the best personalities around. He loves other dogs. He will happily play, run, and tumble with them outdoors and have the time of his life. When he comes back inside, he may occasionally engage in the "lazy" play where both dogs flop onto their sides and act like they are playing thumb war...but with their mouths. And of course, you can't forget about the lazy rolling around until they finally just fall asleep next to each other. Tag is also a HUGE fan of playing tug-o-war with other dogs, definitely no worries about sharing with Tag. Instead of hoarding, he will be letting everyone know that he will happily share his things with them. Tag, has even cracked the codes with cats if you can believe it. Yep, this pup has won over the cats so much that not only have they accepted him but they will also engage in play with him and will even do a bit of that slow-motion indoor wrestling. It is both the cutest and most "how in the world" kind of thing to watch. Tag has not been around any little hoomans yet, but given his personality, we are guessing that he would be their best friend. He is such a lovebug and has yet to meet anyone who isn't immediately classified as a friend for him. Tag would absolutely be that person who jumps into a shady-looking van if there was the promise of something as simple as friendship....and given his looks...you may soon find the whole neighborhood asking about him on walks and wondering where in the world you found a teddy bear with an underbite. Speaking of walks, Tag does well on the leash but he may need some extra encouragement from time to time if he isn't sure where you are going. There is no need to worry though, because soon this boy is going to be the kind of pup you can take everywhere with you. From cafes to parks to Lowe's, this boy is going to be your shining star. He may need a little help getting into the car, but once in he is an awesome ride. He would love getting to join his family on all their adventures, especially if he had another doggie friend to learn from. Without one, it may take a little longer for him to feel comfortable with the social scene but we do believe in time he would do great. And if you are more of a homebody, no need to worry! Tag says that is just fine too! Tag would be perfectly content spending the majority of his time at home playing with his toy, a doggie friend, cuddling with his people, and romping around in the yard. Now, we probably should mention that Tag is a water enthusiast. He believes that water makes everything greater! So, sometimes he may splash around in the water bowl to create a slip-and-slide. For the most part, he has learned that indoors isn't exactly the best place for that so he tries to stick to only doing that with the water bucket outside. Yep, this fella will happily drag it around ensuring that water sloshes around everywhere before playing with the bucket in all that glorious spilled water! However, he isn't above occasionally seeking out the water bowl in the house to dunk one of his toys into it to be sure he gets that "splash" of added fun! As far as his house manners, they are just as perfect as him. There is no worry about him chewing up your house and getting into all your favorite things. Now, one would hope that your favorite things are kept out of reach just to be safe since Tag is still a puppy. We should probably also mention that he does have other dogs to keep him entertained so if he were to be adopted to a home that thinks the best place to show off all their things is...well...everywhere...and there are no other dogs to keep him distracted...then that might be a different story. ;) Tag knows that pottying is for the great outdoors and keeps a clean house. As long as he has a good routine to follow that is. He isn't quite ready to be left alone for a full workday in that regard, and understandably so. Name me any 6-month-old baby that can go all day without having an accident. ;) Tag has never been kenneled as it has not been necessary for him. He wouldn't thrive in a home where his people are gone all day long and is expected to spend the majority of his day behind bars. Tag would do best in a home with another dog to play and have fun with, or he could be just as happy as an only dog if his new family were home the majority of the day. I dare you to find a more amazing pup than Tag. Yeah yeah yeah, I know you are going to tell me that your current dogs are the greatest...and you know what...you are probably right..I am sure they are just as amazing as Tag and I really think Tag needs to become part of your family because he will certainly make that statement that much more true! ;) So, I say again..."Tag, you're it." We shared some of the cutest photos ever of this dog and shared just how amazing his personality is. Now, it is up to you. The ball is in your court now.....either make him part of your family or give him a share...because if you can't welcome this face into your family...maybe a friend can and then it will be a win-win situation! 📍 Pickup Location: Kiowa, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app

Story
Introducing Nixi, the delightfully adorable 1.5-year-old, 50lb Aussie mix who’s as charming as her name suggests! With a perpetually wagging nub tail, she’s a joy magnet, always eager to soak up every bit of attention she can get. Nixi’s journey brought her to us after a stint in the shelter, and now she’s ready to charm her way into your heart and home. This sweet girl is a bundle of joy, greeting everyone with a wag of her tail that could rival a doggy dance-off! Quick to trust and eager to please, Nixi is as smart as they come—she mastered her name in just three days (if only Wi-Fi passwords were that easy!). She’s incredibly observant of her surroundings and other dogs' behaviors, earning her the title of Sherlock Holmes of the canine world. Nixi is also a bit of a foodie—while she hasn’t ventured into many non-traditional dog foods yet, she’ll politely take treats from your hand, assess them with a discerning eye, and give you a look that says, “Are you serious?” Her manners are impeccable, and she takes direction like a pro—move over, Lassie! Nixi’s easygoing nature makes her a perfect fit for any home. If you’re seeking a smart, affectionate companion who brings laughter to your days, Nixi is the one for you! Nixi is a perfect blend of social butterfly and respectful neighbor when it comes to other dogs. She loves joining in on the fun but might throw in a theatrical growl if her personal space feels invaded. Whether flying solo or paired up with another pooch, she adapts effortlessly. While Nixi hasn’t met cats, her chicken-chasing skills hint that introductions might need careful consideration. Nixi is a natural with kids, transforming into a poised lady at the approach of two smaller children, sitting down for pets like she’s vying for Best Behaved Pup of the Year. She’s eager for playtime and won’t resist a good game of fetch—though she’s still mastering the art of bringing the toy back! Meeting new people brings out her quietly happy side, with no need for red carpet entrances, just a wagging tail and a friendly woof. When it comes to lifestyle, Nixi thrives on activity and exploration. She’s your go-to adventure buddy, always up for new places and experiences. While she appreciates relaxation, Nixi’s heart beats for the excitement of outings and activities—quiet moments are better saved for later! Independent and ready for the road, Nixi hops into the car on her own and makes a perfect passenger, content to enjoy the ride. Walking on a leash comes naturally to Nixi, though she’s open to a bit more practice to perfect her skills—especially with the heat of recent days slowing her down. Hiking is a definite yes for Nixi, who’s eager to hit the trails and explore nature with you—adventure awaits! Nixi’s energy level is medium to high, with a growing ability to relax as she settles into her new home. Indoor living is a new experience for her, but she’s adjusting beautifully. As for fetch, she’s got half the game down—fetching the toy enthusiastically, but the return trip is still a work in progress. Toys are becoming a favorite, especially when humans initiate the fun, revealing her playful side one squeaky toy at a time. Water isn’t her passion, showing little interest in playing and feeling a bit wary around hoses during outdoor baths—dry land suits her just fine! Would Nixi thrive in an apartment? Absolutely! Her quiet demeanor and lack of barking make her an ideal neighbor. Potty training? Mastered. Kennel training? New territory, but she’s a quick study. Plus, Nixi’s respect for household items ensures your belongings remain safe. And that’s Nixi in a tail-wagging nutshell! With her charm, smarts, and heart full of adventure, she’s more than ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home. If you’re looking for a companion who’s as delightful as she is adorable, Nixi is your girl! Don’t miss out on the chance to make her a part of your family—she’s waiting to fill your days with love, laughter, and plenty of tail wags. Come meet Nixi and see for yourself why she’s the perfect match for your heart and home! 📍 Pickup Location: Sand Springs, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3

Story
Meet Trivia, the 2-year-old Border Collie mix who’s convinced she’s the star of every show—and honestly, she’s not wrong. Weighing in at a petite 45 pounds, this bundle of joy is as clever as her name suggests, with enough energy to keep up with even the most rambunctious of 7-year-olds. Trivia’s idea of a good time? A fast-paced game of chase around the kitchen table, preferably initiated by her favorite human (who, by the way, happens to be a 7-year-old cartwheel enthusiast). Trivia came to us because she decided she wanted to be the sole ruler of her kingdom. Her previous home had other dogs, but Trivia made it clear she preferred to be the only one on the throne. Trivia takes the art of cuddling very seriously. Once she’s worn herself out chasing bunnies—or the occasional neighborhood squirrel—she’s all about couch time. You’ll find her snuggled up with her favorite humans, enjoying every neck hug and ear scratch that comes her way. Speaking of couches, yes, Trivia believes they’re made for dogs like her, so don’t be surprised if she claims a spot right next to you. Trivia is not just a dog; she’s a family entertainer. She thrives in a lively household and absolutely adores kids. Her current foster home includes a 7-year-old who’s always flipping, twirling, and generally being a whirlwind of energy. Trivia? She takes it all in stride. Whether it's cartwheels, handstands, or loud bursts of laughter, Trivia remains unfazed. She loves the attention and is always up for a new adventure, especially if it involves joining in on the fun with her human sidekicks. Her tolerance for high-energy kids is impressive—she's the first to join in on their games and the last to get tired of their company. Trivia is a firm believer in the philosophy of “One Castle, One Queen.” She’s not interested in sharing her throne with other dogs. She’s got all the love to give and prefers to keep it exclusive. When it comes to car rides, Trivia is all in. She’ll hop right in, ready to spread her loving licks to everyone she meets. She’s a social butterfly around people. When it comes to meeting new canine friends outside, Trivia is all about those quick hellos and potentially brief playdates. She’s the dog equivalent of a socialite who loves a good party but is secretly counting down the minutes until she can retreat to her cozy, dog-free sanctuary. She’ll dive into playtime with enthusiasm, but once she’s had her fill, she’s more than happy to head home and embrace her inner introvert with a well-deserved nap. Trivia loves her walks, though the leash is still a work in progress—she’s got a bit of that Border Collie enthusiasm, after all. Potty trained and kennel trained, Trivia is the perfect housemate. She sleeps through the night, doesn’t raid the countertops, and can be trusted with free roam of the house. And don’t worry about storm anxiety—Trivia is as chill as they come, even when the skies get a little rumbly. So if you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and lively companion who’s happiest as your one and only, Trivia is ready to take center stage in your life. She’ll be your best friend, your walking buddy, and the queen of your couch—all wrapped up in one delightful package. 📍 Pickup Location: Broken Arrow, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
