Meet Steve – Looking for a Quiet, Experienced Home Steve is a 10-year-old Exotic Shorthair looking for a very specific kind of home where he can feel safe and comfortable. He is front and back declawed and has spent his life indoors. Steve is not an immediately affectionate cat and tends to be more independent by nature. However, with time, patience, and a calm environment, he has shown that he can bond with his person and become more relaxed and trusting. Steve would do best in: * A quiet, low-traffic home * An experienced cat owner who understands shy or sensitive cats * A home with no dogs or other pets Because Steve is declawed, he can feel vulnerable and may react defensively if he feels stressed or overwhelmed. He has been known to bite when uncomfortable, so he needs someone who can read cat body language and give him space when needed. Recently, Steve has begun having some litter box issues, which may be related to stress in a home with dogs.

He is always on top of what’s happening in the household, sometimes supervising, sometimes telling you how to do things! When playtime winds down, he tends to get close to your head, to purr and lick or nibble on your hair, purring loudly.
