Please contact Melanie with your inquiry atMelaniet_87@hotmail.com or 778-388-2744 Wiley: Ibizan hound mix from the Middle EastFemaleMedium sizedApprox 50 poundsMeet Wiley.  Wiley is a street dog from Iran.  She was found beaten with a broken leg by a kind woman who nursed her back to health and sent her to Canada for a new life.We adopted Wiley 5 years ago when she was 6 months old.  She’s a loving pup, who loves cuddling, fireplace naps, snacks and the outdoors.  Wiley has no separation anxiety and is house trained.  She’s happy snoozing on her bed or chasing a mountain bike, mostly she’s just happy to be with her people.As a result of Wiley’s early abuse she has some trust issues towards humans.  When Wiley turned 2 she began to show some fear based aggression, and her fear of children came to light, which was shocking to us as we were assured that Wiley was good with all humans and dogs.  The news was devastating as we knew we would be having kids soon. We did a lot of training with Wiley and got her to a place where she is much more trusting. The trainers who worked with her just adored her.  We worked with an e-collar trainer, the method completely changed Wiley and gave us the control we needed to slowly work on exposing and desensitizing her to more people and environments in a safe way.  Her obedience and recall is extremely impressive, she can walk with or without a leash, I usually have a leash in my pocket but rarely need it.  Wiley lives with a 13 year old whippet and does well with him, she likes most dogs she meets; we have frequent dog guests and neighbours with dogs, we are unsure about cats but have had no issues to date.Wiley is only suited for a house with no children.  Our reason for finding her a new home is our toddler.  The chaos, quick movements and constant changes seem to throw Wiley off.  She does well with our daughter, but can’t be left unsupervised which as you can imagine is difficult in a smaller space.
