Story
Meet Simba, a male neutered purebred Golden Retriever! Simba is about 5 years old and 76 lbs. Simba loves all people, dogs and he is currently learning about cats. He is good with other dogs and loves to be with his people! His foster says, "Simba LOVES everyone he meets. He is super sweet, very friendly, loves his people, gets along great with his foster siblings. He has met our cat several times and has just licked him repeatedly. He loves to be outside, he enjoys playing catch and swimming. We are working on leash manners. He is very quick to learn, easily trained with positive reinforcement alone. He is a fantastic doggo who deserves his own active family."

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
