Story
Bailey is a 2 yr old golden retriever mix, around 48lbs. Bailey is a happy go lucky boy who has the cutest ears and smile, and a sweet personality. He is on the smaller side of a medium dog and loves attention. He is incredibly smart and learns tricks and commands with just a few repetitions. He knows how to sit and shake and goes to his room (kennel) when asked. He loves to play with dogs or people and takes treats very gently. Once he’s done playing, he loves to cuddle and hang out on the couch. He would love a home with a backyard and another dog to play with (but the more the merrier!). His right paw has a slight limp due to an old injury, but he doesn’t let it slow him down! He chases cats in his foster home, so a dog-savvy cat if any, would be best. He is great with the toddler in his foster home, but he does jump when he gets excited, so older kids would be better. Bailey is housebroken and good on leash – the perfect dog for your family! All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Elsa – The Golden-Hearted Girl Who Never Stopped Believing in Love At 8 months old and 48 pounds, Elsa is a beautiful Golden Retriever–Great Pyrenees mix who somehow ended up with all the Golden personality and only the Pyrenees fluff. Sweet, friendly, eager, affectionate—this girl is sunshine in dog form. If Golden Retrievers had a motivational speaker division, Elsa would be the CEO. But her start wasn’t golden at all. Elsa spent her whole puppyhood tied to a tether outside a trailer, watching the world from a spot of dirt she never deserved. No toys. No soft beds. No one to run to. No one to run with. And yet… her heart never quit. When she first came to us, she had a little food aggression around other dogs—understandable when you’ve never known if your next meal was guaranteed. But with time, consistency, and the realization that she’s finally safe, Elsa has blossomed beautifully. She’s now doing wonderfully with her dog friends and has never shown an ounce of aggression toward people. Humans, in her eyes, are made of magic—especially the ones willing to pet her. And oh, does she love to be loved. She leans in, she wiggles, she smiles with her whole face. She gives love like she’s been storing it up for months—because she has. Elsa deserved so much more than what she got in her puppy months, but she refuses to dwell on the past. She’s too busy soaking up cuddles, handing out kisses, and living her best “I’m finally free!” life. Her capacity for forgiveness and joy would put most of us to shame. This girl is resilient, goofy, grateful, and ready. Ready for a family. Ready for a home. Ready to love—and to be loved back. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, funny, deeply affectionate companion with a heart big enough to light up your whole house… Elsa is your girl. Apply today at haydududeequine.org, and get ready to welcome a brave, bouncy, golden-hearted miracle into your arms, heart and home!! 🐾

Sweet Storm is just at a year old and ready for a home to call his very own! This handsome fellow is 55 lbs of love and joy. He enjoys playing with other doggy friends and LOVES to meet new human friends. He walks nicely on leash, enjoys a car ride and would be good citizen at the dog park. If you're ready to add a snuggly love to your holiday festivities, Storm would be happy to take the role. Apply to adopt today at www.cprdogs.com. Storm is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation.
