Story
Hi, I’m Phoebe Valentine, although my foster family calls me Lucy! I’m a beautiful, petite, Golden Retriever. I’m about 4 years old and weigh about 55 pounds. I have a very soft, fluffy, red coat. One of my favorite things to do is play with my foster brother. In my previous home, I spent a lot of time outdoors, so I am adjusting to living indoors. I absolutely love it, but I will need someone who understands that and is patient with me as I do need a little refresher on potty training. I am not a jumper and walk well on a leash. I am also a great sleeper and happy in my human‘s bed or will sleep quietly in my crate. My foster mom thinks I would do best in a home where my adoptive family is home most of the time. As mentioned, I love playing with other dogs and I’m good with cats. I have never been around young children before, so a home with calm children 12 and up would be best for me. I am heart worm positive. I have already started my heart worm treatment and can be adopted out now. My wonderful rescue, Angels Among Us will pay for the remaining heart worm treatment, which will consist of three injections. Just imagine the adventures we could have together.
