Meet Marley!Marley is a 64lb, 3-year-old, Golden Retriever with a big personality. This sweet boy found his way to the shelter due to an unexpected change in his previous owner’s living situation, and now he’s ready to start his next chapter with a loving, understanding family.Marley is house trained and does great in a home setting, but he prefers having freedom to relax outside of a crate. According to his previous owner, Marley is wonderful with children of all ages and has a protective nature toward his family.Marley loves car rides, long walks, running, splashing around in the water, and playing with his favorite toys. If you’re an active household looking for a fun-loving companion, Marley might just be your perfect match.Marley can be a bit selective with new people and may need some time to warm up to strangers. Because of this, he’ll do best in a home that understands the importance of patience and allowing him to build trust at his own pace. He thrives with people who respect his boundaries and give him the space he needs to feel comfortable.At this time, we are recommending Marley be the only dog in the home. While he has so many wonderful qualities, he has had some uncomfortable experiences with other dogs, and we believe he will feel safest and happiest as an only pet. He has not been around cats, so his behavior with them is unknown.We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
