You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Shelton!  Shelton was found wandering the Pearl, looking for someone to help him. It was immediately obvious that this sweet boy had been on the streets for quite some time. His coat was severely matted, and he was clearly uncomfortable. Thankfully, Shelton is now feeling so much better after a much-needed trip to our groomers.  Shelton completed his stray hold, but unfortunately, no one ever came forward to claim him. So now, we’re looking for the family who will give him the life he should have had all along. Shelton is a Poodle/Golden Retriever mix, and he is exactly the kind of dog you would expect from that combination. He is energetic, playful, smart, and ready to be part of an active family. His future adopters need to understand that the breed like Shelton require plenty of exercise, attention, mental stimulation, and companionship. They also come with a significant grooming commitment. His coat will need frequent brushing and regular professional grooming to prevent the painful matting he experienced before. Shelton is neutered, microchipped, 4DX negative, current on vaccines, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. His adoption fee is $500. If you’re ready for an energetic, playful, loving companion and understand the grooming and exercise needs that come with a Poodle/Golden Retriever mix, Shelton would love the chance to meet you.
