I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity.It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I need a yard with a 6 ft wood fence. A wood fence keeps me from climbing out and seeing things that I might want to chase or things that make me nervous. Story
Zelda is a golden retriever and malamute/husky mix. We were told she was a smaller breed type as a puppy, and has now outgrown our small home and patio space. Looking to rehome to where she has more space to run and play and get exercise. She has been raised with a dog and cat and children, but can be food possessive around the dog and recommend a home with older kids due to her size. She is crate-trained and has completed basic obedience training and can sit, lay down, wait, come, touch, paw/shake and working on stay command. She is highly treat-motivated and eager to learn/please but will need an experienced dog owner due to her breed type and size. She gets very excited on leash when sees other people and dogs. She is also very vocal and very routine - she will let you know if it is time to be fed! Zelda is a sweet and playful dog with good disposition, but is more dog than we can handle and more dog than we have adequate space to accommodate.
