Story
Polo is the standard Poodle that you have been looking for!   This boy is roughly 5-7 years old and weighs 50 pounds with a little that he could gain to fill out better.   Recently his owner passed away and he was on the way to being dropped off at the local county shelter when a kind woman stepped up and took him home.  Soon Critter Cavalry Rescue was called about Polo and asked to help him find a foster and a new home.  This dog is the best and most chill dog on the planet. He is ALL ABOUT PEOPLE!   He is not a dog that is looking to join a family and be a playmate to another dog.  While he might play some….he just wants to be your shadow and your love.  He is housebroken, totally healthy, happy with a ready smile for everyone and good with all creatures he meets.  Polo needs to transition soon to a new family before he gets attached to the foster.   His heart and soul needs to be settled and reassured he will be loved and not bounced anymore. Critter Cavalry Rescue can help you adopt this boy right now with all the right credentials and good home that you can provide.  Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We transport to the northeast . PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 30, 2024, 10:07 am

Story
Chance is a rare to find English Springer Spaniel.  You don’t really see them much as an offering in the rescue world. This 70 pound handsome 7 year old hunk is so very sweet was rescued from a puppy  mill where he was “used” as a stud.  His foster mom rescued him from living outside all his life in a small pen with no comforts that he so very much deserved.  He was not a family pet, but a commodity where he was used to produce puppies so the people could sell them.  Chance was not potty trained of course but he is almost there now and belly bands are used to help him stay out of trouble with marking.  He is not neutered yet due to appointments being scarce. He will be soon and that will certainly help the housebreaking.  The woman who owned him said he came inside the house may be a few times over his life and so he was “rescued” from that life by a dear woman who is now working with Critter Cavalry Rescue to find him a home.  Oh my this dog is a dream and he is so much “loving” the inside life with air conditioning or heat on a colder evening or day.  He will be neutered the 24th May! He loves the water and swimming in his foster’s pond! He does have this really precious smile where it kinda looks like he’s growling but he is NOT! He is the best boy! He loves to sleep amongst the pillows on the bed and for once in his life he is living like he should…a King among Dog Kings!  If want to the be envy of your dog friends, then you  must consider making Chance your very own “chance of a lifetime”.   Please consider Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   You won’t regret it. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2024, 10:07 am

Story
** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Ace is an adorable white and gray boy, who's at an awkward age. A year-old, he's into walks, especially those featuring squirrels. He loves his people, and he wants them around as much as possible. He gets barky when they are gone long, which didn't go over well with his last landlord, which is how he ended up in the shelter. But he now needs a home with folks that can take him for lots of energy burning walks. And to help him build his confidence! He's a great dog and so worth it. Ace will need periodic trips to the doggie beauty salon to keep his fur in top shape. A dog likes to look and feel good of course. Friendly and loving, Ace is ready to meet you, his forever people.
