Meet Cooper! Cooper’s journey began as a stray, found and taken to the El Reno Animal Shelter with a severe case of demodex, a skin condition that left him in desperate need of care. Despite all the challenges he’s faced, Cooper has proven to be a resilient and loving pup. At around 18 months old, Cooper has spent six months of his life in boarding—no way for a puppy to experience life! Even with this tough start, Cooper’s spirit shines through. He loves playing with other dogs but knows when he needs his space and prefers not to be jumped on. His sharp intelligence and eagerness to please his humans make him an ideal companion, ready to learn and love in his forever home. Do you think you could show Cooper that his worst days are behind him and that his future is full of love, play, and joy? He’s waiting for a special family to give him the second chance he deserves. We have a fostering to adopt program to make sure the pet is a good fit for your family. Please research this breed of pet before considering foster / adopting. First submit an application. Once the application has been reviewed and approved. You will be contacted for an interview. You will need to submit veterinary references and contact information of your current Vet. A home check may be conducted. Foster / Adopters must have a fenced in yard. Once approved an appointment will be set up to meet the pet. If approved then the Foster to Adopt application will be signed by both parties. We will need original signatures. Patrick is a stray that was found in Choctaw, OK. He is a tan grey mix. He is approximately 1 to 2 years old. He is looking for his furever home. He is skittish to start with but will warm up with some positive attention. Adopters must have a fenced in yard.

Meet May! This 1-year-old mixed breed sweetheart weighs in at 40 pounds and is ready to find her furever home! May is a smart cookie—she’s already mastered sit, shake, and lay down, and she’s currently working on stay and turn around. She learns quickly and loves engaging with her people. May does great in a crate but is just as happy cuddled up with you at bedtime. She's wonderful with older kids (younger kids scare her) and gets along well with other dogs. (She hasn’t been cat-tested yet.) Full of playful energy, May would thrive in a home with a yard where she can let loose and show off her zoomies. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, and eager-to-learn companion, May might just be your perfect match!
