Story
Tank comes from a very well regarded kennel here on the east coast. We acquired him when he was eight weeks old. He is now three years old. Tank is cared for by an excellent veterinarian, and is up to date on shots, etc. As a puppy he went to stay with a professional dog trainer for a month. He is crate trained, house trained, and socialized. Tank is kind with everyone and loves children. Walks well on leash. He eats 4Health dry dog food (Tractor Supply). We never gave him any table food. He doesn't beg. I must move (downsize) due to a life-changing event.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fill out an Adoption Application Brief description: Likes: Cici is a very happy girl! She likes car rides, playing with toys, and people and other dogs. Dislikes: I haven’t found any! Personality: She is happy and she is very determined to do anything to enjoy life and everyone she is around. Temperament: She is a lover and very sweet to everyone. She has the best temperament! Energy level: She is high energy and then she crashes just like a typical English Bulldog. Favorite activities: Her favorite things are playing with toys, being around people and other fur friends and cuddling. Good with cats, dogs, and kids (over 6)?: Yes! Not good with: (Cats? Dogs? Strangers? Men? Kids?) She is good with everyone! Housetrained: Just about. Working on it Crate trained: Yes Requires a fenced yard (physical fence and/or invisible fence)? Not necessarily. As long as she has someone outside with her. Walks well on a leash? That’s a story Challenges: Her challenge is her front legs. She has had surgery but her front legs will never be normal. She has a cart that allows her spine to be straighter which will give her a longer and better quality of life. She is also very mobile without the cart so she isn’t difficult to care for. Any Medical issues? Her arms are truly the only medical issue. She has been spayed and her soft palate has been trimmed. She is an otherwise healthy little girl. What would be the best kind of home? The best kind of home for this little girl is someone that will take the time to put her in and out of her cart so she has the best and longest quality of life. She does not have to be in it all of the time and she can go potty and otherwise maneuver outside of the cart. She is not the typical spine injury. Her cart is to help her front end be level to her back end. I would say a house with plenty of open floor space and either no stairs or willingness to carry here up and down stairs when necessary. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. **Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized prior to 12 - 18 months of age. If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed. If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina. We will not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Homes with children under 6 years of age will not be approved for adoption. Homes with children should have a fenced yard. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.  We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.  Homes with highly varnished steps must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. **We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit.
