Story
We adopted Sam in late April from a local rescue to keep our other male cat company. At the time, we did not suspect that he was possibly an Abyssinian breed. This is a breed that is very energetic and requires lots of enrichment, play, and attention. Sam will bring you his favourite toy, give you the cutest chirp, and tap your foot to let you know it’s playtime. He loves blanket forts and climbing his cat trees. When he’s sleeping, he’ll curl up into a donut up against you on the couch or in bed. He’s not a lap cat but will always be by your side. He likes to bunt up against your cheek or under your chin, get some back scritches, and sometimes even roll over for gentle belly rubs. He’s curious and sweet. He cannot tolerate dry food as he will regurgitate it so he is on a wet food diet only. He will need to have his teeth cleaned regularly.Sam will be one year old on August 31st
