Additional adoption info
We will accept any Sheltie in need, with the exception of those that have shown serious aggression to people. If the released Sheltie has a medical problem, it will be evaluated by a veterinarian, and it will then be determined if it is possible to proceed with treatment and placement.
All owners of Shelties surrendered to the Rescue must fill out and sign a release form. All pertinent paperwork, ie. vet records, etc., should accompany the dog, if possible.
We will accept Shelties from New Hampshire. We ask that when a Sheltie is being surrendered by an owner, he/she deliver the Sheltie to us. If a Sheltie needs to be rescued from a shelter or other environment, we will pick up the Sheltie or have a prospective adopter contact the shelter, etc.
An adoption contract/application must be completed for all Shelties placed. Fees will be adjusted for age and/or other special conditions. All Shelties will be spayed or neutered before placement and will be current on vaccinations.
If for any reason, and at any time the adoption is not working out, the Sheltie(s) must be returned to us.
We do not ship our rescue shelties out of state. We prefer adoptive homes to pick up their Shelties.
