I have been rescuing animals in NYC since I was a child. My mother taught me the value of all life, and instilled a deep sense of empathy in me for all animals. I have been consistently active in animal rescue and animal liberation for the better part of the past 14 years, as well as TNR'ing over 1200 cats and adopting out upwards of 300 cats and dogs. I also help international dogs and bring them to NYC for adoption whenever possible (I have pulled 40 animals from a shelter in Thailand and found them homes/am currently finding them homes in the tri-state area), and actively pull at-risk dogs on death row from the local kill shelter, as well as continuously do street rescue of friendly, vulnerable cats within NYC or cats and dogs who are being "given up" by pet owners. I have a regular job, so I do this in between caring for all my animals and my outdoor colonies. I also help out other groups and rescuers whenever I can. I will be applying for 501(c)(3) status in 2018. I have put doing that off for many years because I was so inundated and overwhelmed with animal rescue and I was nervous about being flooded with requests for help that I couldn't answer, but I am in a better position now and have realized my potential in the past year, as I've accomplished so much on my own, that I feel comfortable to finally make my group official.
