Rescue FAQs

We are Bed Stuy Cat People, just a little group of friendly neighbors that wants to keep our outdoor neighborhood cats healthy and happy by: - Caring for our outdoor neighborhood cats (food and medical needs). - Fixing the cats (spay/neuter), including Trap-Neuter-Return of feral cats. - Finding great homes for friendly and adoptable cats, including providing foster care. - Helping out our neighbors who want to fix/spay/neuter their pets (cats & dogs). We 100% volunteer led, small and hyper local for now, working first of all around the blocks to the South and West of Herbert Von King Park in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. We are just starting out, one group of outdoor neighborhood cats at a time. We really need and appreciate your support as adopters, foster homes, volunteers or donors. We are led by volunteers certified in Trap-Neuter-Return, life long animal lovers, pet owners, previous volunteers/professionals with other animal rescue groups, and now excited to be helping out in our own wonderful community. We love people too, and have fun making new human friends in the community. Foster homes are always in demand. If you think you might like to foster a street cat please reach out.
