Rescue FAQs

We are two compassionate women who have dedicated ourselves to running a very successful rescue. We spend all our waking hours rescuing these sweet babies. When we're not picking up kittens, we're either purchasing medication and food for them or facilitating their adoption at Petco. It's a full-time commitment on top of our existing jobs. We have one simple motivation: finding loving and safe indoor homes for these helpless felines. It's incredibly rewarding to see them transition from being scared and living in a field, alley, or bush to purring in the arms of their new adopters. We only have a little money, and the financial challenges are real. However, the adoption fees we receive go towards their food, spaying/neutering, necessary medications, flea treatment, and micro chipping in case they get lost. Please consider visiting our rescue and giving one of our precious kitties a forever home.

Additional adoption info

INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.

APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.

TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. We do take a $50.00 non-refundable deposit.

WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated.
