Rescue FAQs

BCHA has been serving the animals of Buffalo County (and our neighboring counties) for over 20 years.
We opened our first permanent shelter location in November, 2019.
BCHA primarily serves the companion animals of
Buffalo County, Wisconsin. (We also accept animals from our neighboring counties as space permits.)

Adoption steps

    1. Phone interview with one of our adoption coordinators
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. Meetings are by appointment only at our shelter building.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. Don't forget to bring a carrier to take your new fur-baby home.
