Additional adoption info
We realize that adding an new family member is an adjustment for all involved. The pet will go through stages of adjustment. We make suggestions to help w/ this and we are always available for training/suggestions throughout the pets life. We'd rather know and help address any issues before a pet is surrendered back. We do always take them back (and want to be called) if it comes to this as a last resort

We are a new start up rescue based out of the Maryville TN/Blount county area. We focus on Mutts since this is the greatest need. We do get pure breds from time to time. We are part of the no-kill movement and believe strongly in the 11 point equation of No-Kill to help a community save vs euthanize it's pets. We have seen and experienced personally how important training and awareness is for a successful long term relationship. All of our dogs/cats are spay/neutered, heartworm checked (dogs) and on preventative and tested for fiv/felv (cats). They are tx for fleas and tics, have completed their shots, dewormed and microchipped. We are looking for homes that see a pet as a family member. We want homes that are willing to invest time and energy with a wiliness to learn and grow in relationship with that pet.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
