Rescue FAQs

We are a national rescue organization, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of toy breed dogs. We believe that, somewhere, there is a perfect, loving home for every dog, and that every dog deserves such a home. We accept dogs in need from shelters, familes, and breeders, and after a brief period in loving foster homes, they are placed in permanent adoptive homes.

**NEWS FLASH**
We have an *URGENT* need for foster homes. Please visit our website to fill out a volunteer foster home application. fThank you!!!
While most of the dogs on this site are fostering in the midwest, we are a national rescue organization, with foster homes and available dogs in 34 states.

Additional adoption info

We ask that you visit our website, www.shihtzuandfurbabyrescue.com, for information, and an adoption application. We will interview you, check your personal and vet references, and arrange for a home visit. When we match you with your perfect forever furbaby, we will ask you to sign a binding contract, to provide a loving safety net for the little one.
