Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. This is to become an approved adopter. Not for any one dog. Applications are found on the rescue's website at agsrescue.com
  2. Interview
    1. We MAY need a letter from the landlord allowing a pet, photos where the pet will be spending their time. This is in lieu of the home visit.
  3. Approve Application
    1. You will receive an email 24 to 48 hours after all information has been sent to the rescue with an approval, denial or request for more info
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. Not all the dogs are in one place so you will be asked which dog you are interested in, if you are a match a visit will be arranged
  5. Take the Pet Home
    1. If the visit goes well and we all agree to move forward, you will take the dog home for a 24 hour visit.
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. After the overnight visit, you will come out to the rescue and either return or adopt the dog.
  7. Pay Fee
    1. If it's an adoption you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee of $450 using cash or check only
