Rescue FAQs

PINK Animals to the Rescue (or PINK Rescue) is a small rescue located in Toronto, Canada. We believe animals rescue us rather than the other way around. This is because they love us unconditionally no matter what. And in so doing, they teach us how to love unconditionally no matter what. Some of our pets are local but most are from Egypt. Compassion knows no borders so why should we? We believe we are ONE world. Our mission is to bring Love to every single creature we can. Our goal is to achieve a world where no animal is left behind. From the streets alone to home sweet home. Because we do home visits before we adopt any animal out, we can only adopt in the Greater Toronto area which is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Toronto. Adoption Fee: Our adoption fee is determined on a cost-recovery basis. Because the animals come from abroad, there are many more costs involved than there is for a local rescue. These include flight, broker, international carrier, inspection, terminal, duties, rabies titre test fees, etc. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and dogs on the streets of Egypt as we can. The fee you pay helps the Egyptian rescues recover their costs. Not only are you saving this animal's life, you are also helping to save another animal's life because the pet you just brought home has now opened up a space for the rescues in Egypt to offer to another animal in need. Why do we do it? Because all lives matter. These animals are literally refugees in their own country. To us, every animal, no matter where they come from, deserves to be loved as much as any other animal. For us, the answer is simple and worth repeating. Compassion knows no borders. True Love is priceless. Feel free to check us out on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PINKanimalstotherescue ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Adopting a rescue vs a pure bred: In our view, rescued animals have as much value as any "pure-bred" animal does. We are astonished that people are willing to pay thousands of dollars for a "pure-bred" cat or dog yet they question paying $800 for a rescued cat that comes from a third world country. They don't question people who do this for a living but they question people who volunteer their time, resources and even contribute funds personally. What does this say about the world we live in? FACT: Breeders make money off of animals. We don't. FACT: Breeders get paid for their time and effort. We don't. FACT: There are too many unwanted animals as it is. We don't need to encourage and support bringing even more onto the planet. We are unapologetic and have zero tolerance for an industry that promotes the trafficking of animals for profit. "Breeding" is just a politically correct - and legal - word for the trafficking of an innocent species for the sake of profit. It is no different than human trafficking and that is illegal. Why isn't this? To adapt Mahatma Gandhi's quote to a global level, "“The greatness of a world and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” 'nuff said.
We are based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Though our main focus is working with Egyptian rescues in rescuing dogs and cats off the streets of Egypt, we also rescue local animals as well. We do home visits for every animal we adopt. We adopt in the GTA and surrounding area up to about a 1 1/2 hour drive from the GTA.

Additional adoption info

ADOPTION DONATION:
Because the animals come from abroad, there are more costs involved.

Along with the cat’s vetting, microchip, up to date shots, de-worming, de-fleaing and spay/neuter fees, the adoption fee also includes all travel and flight costs, government mandated fees (in Uzbekistan and Canada) and the international carriers they flew to Canada in.

Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and dogs on the streets of Egypt as we can. The fee you pay helps the Egyptian rescues recover their costs. Not only are you saving this animal's life, you are helping to save another animal's life because the pet you just brought home has now opened up a space for the rescues in Egypt to offer to another animal in need.

Donations can be made via PayPal or by e-transfer (for Canada only) to; thepinkvibe@hotmail.com We sincerely thank you for helping the animals.
