Rescue FAQs

Our mission is simply to promote and provide programs that minimize pet overpopulation while also improving the lives of all animals. We strive to improve the lives of pets through education, low cost spay/neuter, feral cat sterilization programs and always putting the best interest of the pet first. We seek homes for kittens born to feral or stray cats that have been helped by our sterilization program ending the cycle with these kittens. We also assist other animals in adoption into loving homes.
Crawford county and surrounding counties will also adopt to other places in Georgia and states.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Application is emailed or delivered in person.
  2. Approve Application
    1. Speak or message potential adopter with any questions or concerns.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. Either at an event or at the shelter meet the pet. For dogs first meeting is at a neutral location and then a home visit is required.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
  5. Pay Fee
    1. Adoption fee is required in full.
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. All cats must leave in a carrier and dogs will leave on a leash.

Additional adoption info

Home visits are required on dogs and other pets depending on each situation. We also reserve the right to refuse an adoption even if paperwork was approved.
