Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Check out all of our amazing rescues and submit an online application at https://www.fayettefcar.com/animals.
  2. Interview
    1. We review your application and complete a vet history to confirm your current/previous animals were current on vaccinations & heartworm pr

    1. You will need to take a video of your fence so we can be sure it will safely contain your new furry family member. Or, we may have someone f
  4. Meet the Pet
    1. We’ll send some videos of our rescue so you can see his personality and size. You are welcome to come and meet our rescue before finalizing
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Sign the adoption contract (copy can be found on our website) and pay the adoption fee of $95/animal.
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. We can schedule a day for you to pick up the animal if that is your plan, or we’ll coordinate transport to one of our transport locations. W

Additional adoption info

All of our rehabilitated rescues are available for a $95.00 adoption fee. Each animal is carefully checked by a licensed veterinarian. Pets will be current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped. Requirements for adoption are a fenced yard (for dogs) and a vet reference if you are a previous pet owner. If we arrange transport for the adoption, you will be responsible for paying the transport fee of $150 in addition to the adoption fee of $95. There will also be a Health Certificate fee of $25 if you don’t live in Tennessee. If you decide you cannot keep the adopted dog, you must return the dog to Fayette County Animal Rescue at your expense. The dog cannot be given to another rescue or to another person.
