Rescue FAQs

Bottle Baby Kittens was started in 2019 to save the most at risk kittens; neonates under a week of age at intake. (We've also done some random species, like puppies and even a chicken once.) We primarily intake from the general public, helping those who want to save kittens, but don't have the resources to do so themselves. While with us, kittens are cared for 24 hours a day, every day. They live in foster homes where they are treated like family members so that when they go home, they are already perfectly spoiled and know how to behave in a home environment. The additional perk to being completely foster home based is the fosters get to know the kittens intimately and are able to help make fantastic matches between kittens and potential adopters. Rescue isn't just about placing kittens in any home possible, it's about finding the perfect home for the kittens AND helping their new family find their perfect new family member. All kittens are vetted prior to adoption. This includes; -any necessary treatments and medical care during their stay in the rescue for illnesses and injuries -spay/neuter -deworming -age appropriate FVRCP ("distemper combo") vaccines (at least two at the time of adoption) -individual FeLV testing with Idexx ELISA/snap tests -microchip with lifetime registration Adoption fees vary based on the kitten, but on average are $150 to cover the cost of medical care. If you want to adopt two (which we highly encourage!), we have a reduced fee on the second kitten because they do so much better in pairs. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are more than happy to help in any way we can.

Additional adoption info

We do slumber parties because we believe people should get to spend some time getting to know a kitten before making a 15+ year commitment to the kitten. Slumber parties are traditionally three days long.

We gladly-- and thankfully!!-- accept financial donations that go towards purchasing supplies and vet care or donations from our wishlists. As a small rescue, we rely heavily on public support so we can continue to save lives ❤️ Donation information can be found at: Linktr.ee/bottlebabykittens
