Shelter FAQs

The Purr-fect Sanctuary Feline Rescue is a privately owned and operated nonprofit shelter. We are licensed by the State of Minnesota and we are randomly inspected, which we pass with flying colors everytime! We are very proud of our odor-free shelter. We help out abused, abandoned, some handicapped, elderly, and violent cats that would normally be put down at a shelter. Our goal is to neuter/spay any adult cat, fix up, vaccinate, get healthy and gentle down these cats so as to get them in a permenant, loving home. Sometimes this process takes awhile but we are very patient here at the Purr-fect Sanctuary Feline Rescue.
Purr-fect Sanctuary is a small 501 (c) (3), non-profit shelter that cares for about 50 cats/kittens at any one time. Many of our kitties are permenant residents here because of illness, a disability or elderly. These will live out their lives here, as they are hard to adopt out.. That's okay, though, as it is fun to live here at the Purr-fect Sanctuary if you are a feline. We usualy do have adoptable kitties so call or email if interested in adopting one(or two).

Additional adoption info

Adoptions at the Purr-fect Sanctuary are like most shelters. You will be interviewed, first by phone or e-mail. Then a time is set up for you to come and visit the cat/kitten you are interested in adopting. Because some of our felines are either elderly or handicapped, we will need to know about your family and lifestyle to help us place these types of cats/kittens in the right homes. You will also be required to fill out an adoption contract. Please know that any and all adoption fees go toward the upkeep and care of our felines.
