Fayette County Animal Control Center is ran by the Fayette County Humane Society. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. We are dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused and neglected animals of Fayette County, WV.

Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a PetOur hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
- No appointment is required. - Meet the PetWe encourage you to bring any current pets with you so we can facilitate a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
- Submit ApplicationWe will call your veterinary reference and personal references to ensure the best fit for the pet.
- Approve ApplicationYour application must be approved before you can proceed with the adoption.
- Sign Adoption ContractOnce your application is approved, you will be required to sign an adoption contract.
- Pay FeeThe adoption fee for dogs is $125.00.
The adoption fee for cats is $85.00.
These fees help cover the cost of care and shelter operations. - Take the Pet HomeAfter completing all the above steps, you can take your new best friend home.

Additional adoption info
If an animal is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption you will be given a spay and neuter voucher, at no cost to the adopter. This voucher will also cover the first rabies vaccine.
