Shelter FAQs

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.

Our adoption requirements are as follows: We encourage that all members of the family come and visit with the animal (especially children). We do not adopt pets as gifts. Adoption fees are as follows: CATS: Kittens 2 Months to 4 Months Old: $325 Kittens 4 Months to 11 Months Old: $275 Adult Cats 1 To 6 Years Old: $175 Older Adult/Senior Cat 7+ Years: $75 Barn Cats: $100 For a Pair
