OUR MISSION
APET's mission is to greatly reduce populations of unwanted dogs and cats, and to reduce animal cruelty, including neglect and abandonment, through spay/neuter initiatives and education.
We recognize the importance of education and public outreach to foster a sentiment of compassionate, responsible pet ownership.
APET also seeks to expand it SPCA-type shelter to provide refuge and adoption options for a multitude of homeless dogs and cats.

Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Petor look online and find a pet
- Submit ApplicationApplications are found on our website at www.apetshelter.org
- InterviewCould be by phone or in person. This helps us match you to a dog that will fit your lifestyle and family.
- Home CheckWe assess the home for safety for the animal. We also require any other animals in the home be spayed and neutered and uptodate on vaccines
- Approve Application
- Pay Fee
- Take the Pet Home

We strongly prefer all our LARGE dogs to go to homes with Fenced in yards.
