Rescue FAQs

We are a brand new non profit 501C3 cat rescue formed in January of 2024! We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue of abandoned and homeless cats in Bridgeport and surrounding communities. We provide food, shelter, foster homes, vet care, and eventual placement into loving homes.

We actively participate in T(trap), N(neuter), R(release) of feral cats and strive to find barn homes for those who can not be returned to their original location. We promote spaying and neutering as the only way to end overpopulation and the needless suffering of unwanted cats. We further stress the importance of education to address appropriate physical and environmental needs of cats and kittens.

AATC hopes to partner with other rescues in our area! We are interested in collaboration, not competition, with the goal to help more cats together than we can individually.
Bridgeport, CT and surrounding communities (Trumbull, Stratford, Fairfield, Easton, Milford), Fairfield County.

    1. Please submit our adoption application to get started so we can pre-approve you.
  2. Approve Application

  3. Meet the Pet
    1. Visit our cats every single day at PETCO, 4559 Main St, Bridgeport.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Our adoption contract asks you to agree with what we feel is appropriate to provide the best possible home for your new kitty.
  5. Pay Fee
    1. Our adoption donation is based on the adoptability of the cat. Older or shy cats are harder to place and we try to offer an incentive.
