Shelter FAQs

Humane Indiana has served the community since 1941. We shelter dogs and cats, providing enrichment, custom diets and exceptional housing while awaiting their furever homes. We also provide humane education and adoption counseling to the public. We receive no government funding. We rely on fund raising, memberships, fees and donations for support.
We serve all of Northwest Indiana and South Chicagoland.
