Rescue FAQs

We are a private organization dedicated to finding suitable homes for homeless, abused and unwanted cats. We carry out our mission through caring for these cats in foster homes until they can be placed in permanent loving homes and educating the public about responsible pet care.
We serve the east valley of the greater Phoenix area, including Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe and other east valley cities. You can meet some of our sweet cats and adorable little kittens by appointment on Saturdays at My Pet Market, Ray Rd & 101 (2915 W Ray Rd, Chandler, AZ, 85224, next to Whole Foods.) ADOPTION HOURS: Saturdays from 11-5 pm Please submit an application at http://werethecatsmeow.com or email us at azcatsmeow@gmail.com if there are specific animals you wish to meet. All our animals are in foster homes and don't live at the store.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions require an application. Please email us at maryanneasciutto@gmail.com to let us know you are interested in filling out an application. Our adoption counselors will review your application and will be in touch with you. We will arrange for the animal to be seen at our regular adoption events.

ADOPTION DONATION
We charge an adoption fee of $200 for kittens and cats. Adoption fees for dogs will vary.

These fees help pay for a vet exam, FeLV/FIV tests, vaccinations, dental check and cleaning (if needed), deworming, and sterilization. Many animals also come in with injuries or illnesses and each one is evaluated and treated appropriately. Our organization is comprised totally of unpaid volunteers and 100% of all adoption donations go to the care and treatment of the animals.

Ask us about our foster/adopt program!

At We're The Cat's Meow Pet Rescue, every donated dollar saves lives, by helping us pay for quality health care. Your donations are welcome at any time. Please please email us at azcatsmeow@gmail.com to arrange to drop the items at an adoption event or at a volunteer's home.
