G.R.E.A.T. Rescue of Ne Florida, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Organization that rescues Golden Retrievers in Northeast Florida. GREAT is affiliated with the Golden Retriever Club of America Rescue Committee, is an all volunteer organization and has been a Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue rescue since the inception of this program.. Golden Retrievers brought into our rescue are examined by our rescue Vet and given all vaccinations, wormed, spayed/neutered, given heart worm treatment,if needed, and any other medical treatment/surgery deemed necessary to make them adoption ready for their new families. . Our rescues come from Animal Shelters and private homes and are fostered if lengthy medical care is needed.
Northeast Florida including Jacksonville, St Augustine, Orange Park, Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island, Lake City/Live Oak, Daytona Beach and Ocala.

Additional adoption info

All interested parties are requested to complete an application that is available by logging onto our website at GREATRESCUE.org. These applications will be thoroughly reviewed for ability to care for a Golden, family compliment, activity level, previous pet history, Veterinary reference,etc. Only those approved applicants on file may adopt through GREAT Rescue. GREAT Rescue will make the final decision of the most suitable home/family for the Golden Retriever and has the right to refuse any applicant.

All Golden Retrievers must be house dogs, be provided any and all medical care needed including vaccinations and monthly heart worm preventative medication and must be returned to GREAT if the adopting family is unable to continue caring for it.

G.R.E.A.T. Rescue of NE Florida, Inc.,, a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Organization is able to provide services to Golden Retrievers because of the generosity of caring friends and business in our community. Donations may be made via Pay Pal on our website at www.greatrescue.org. and may also be earmarked to the Titus Fund for special needs Golden Retievers, in memory of a beloved friend or pet through's Annie's Garden or for general veterinary expenses for all Golden Retrievers coming into GREAT.
