The department operates the Loudoun County Animal Shelter, which provides for companion animals that have been surrendered by their owners or found stray in the county. The Animal Shelter also offers pets for adoption.
Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Come by the shelter during adoption hours and speak with an adoption counselor.
- Submit Application
- Once you have found the right fit, you will fill out an application. Applicants must be 18+ years old.
- Take the Pet Home
