Cat Rescue, Inc., Petersburg now moved to the GREENBRIER PETSMART, CHESAPEAKE VA

Cat Rescue, Inc., which was started in 1997, saves cats slated for euthanasia at overloaded shelters. No cat is adopted out prior to spay or neuter. The home organization is based in Chesapeake, managing the pet center in the Petsmart at Greenbrier Mall, Chesapeake. Adoptions number approximately 300 per year. We are a 501(c)(3)nonprofit, ALL VOLUNTEER, home foster based, no-kill organization. All donations and contracts paid are submitted to the director of Cat Rescue, Inc., in Chesapeake, Va., and are applied to food and medical needs of cats and kittens under the organization's care. The organization is committed to accepting any cat adopted from us if the owner for any reason has to give up the cat, for the rest of the cat's life; in effect, we provide a "life insurance" policy for these cats so that they never have to end up on "death row" in a shelter again.

The Petersburg branch of Cat Rescue, Inc., has moved back into the main group in Chesapeake, VA, so listed cats are now available through the Greenbrier Petsmart in Chesapeake. WE CAN ACCEPT NO CATS FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, only as arranged by the director.
