Rescue FAQs

Russell Rescue of Tennessee is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization. It was started in 2008 by Mary Ruth Rogers of Columbia, TN. Our mission is to save and re-home unloved, abandoned and abused dogs, especially the Jack Russell terrier. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Tennessee, and other nearby states.
Based in Tennessee, we have grown every year into an organization with volunteers in several states across the South.
