Rescue FAQs

The Wabash Valley Animal Rescue League is a NO KILL volunteer based rescue. We receive animals from shelters and the public on a case by case basis. Currently we are only working with SMALL breed dogs and puppies until we can raise funds to build a facility to house larger animals. Our goal is to have our facility by the SPRING of 2008 possibly early summer.
We prefer to adopt in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. IF you are outside of this area and you are interested in one of our furry friends we will require a home visit. We will find a organization in your area to complete this for us. We want to insure adoptions are forever!

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our fur kids please send us a email about the pet youwould like to adopt. We will send you a application and follow up with a telephone interview. Once you have been approved, we can then set up a time to visit with the pet. Please remeber we are all VOLUNTEERS and we have full time jobs. There are NO paid employees of the Wabash Animal League. EVERY dollar of adoption fees goes directly into rescueing and vet care for another animal. We are recognized by the State of Indiana as a Non Profit Corporation and we are in the process of applying for 501 c 3 status.
