If you need to surrender a pet please email pcas@pickenscountysc.gov we do not take in owner surrenders without an appointment which is only made via email.

- Visit the Facility and Find a PetAdopters must visit the facility in person to fill out a adoption application. Adoptions are a first come, first serve basis.

Additional adoption info
All Adoptions are in person only and first come first serve. We also offer a 7 day foster to adopt that allows you to take the dog home and see how they will fit into your household.
Can't adopt? We also Adventure Buddies. Which is a program that allows anyone over 18 to take an adoptable dog out on a daytime adventure, overnight journey or a week long exploration!!
